My New Bike

So Bruce decided to go along with the boys to Waverly tonight to get some stuff at Wally World, and when they got home he said they had something that I needed to help them unload. I knew something was up but I had no idea that it would be something cool for me. I figured they had something crazy or gross and wanted to freak me out. Well, to my pleasant surprise Bruce bought me a new bike. I love to go for a ride sometimes instead of walking and I wanted him to fix the old one and he hadn't. So what a sweet thing for him to do. I guess he gets some "atta boys" for a while. Never mind the fact that he told me the real reason he bought it for me was so that he didn't have to fix mine! Gee and I thought it was just because "he loves me, he really loves me"!!!!!!!
Bruce snapped this one in the garage after I took my little tool around town (never mind all the crap in our garage). But Jillian was on so I only went for a few minutes. I'll make sure and get a good long ride in tomorrow!!! Thanks again to my sweetie for thinking about me while at Wally World. Too bad he didn't remember the miracle gro for my garden. Oh well, can't have everything!!!!!!!

Iowa Blizzard 2009

Here are a few pictures I took at my work the morning after our lovely Iowa blizzard last week. The snow was 27 inches in front of our office door and the snow was unbelievable all around the building. It was so tall it almost completely covered up the gas pumps. Maybe that will be the last big snow storm of the year. Think we could get that lucky?????? We can hope but I think we are doomed since this is Iowa and that was our first of the year! Ty Football 2010

So finally remembered to take the camera to Ty's game Friday night and snap some pictures. We won 45-0 and Ty had 3 TD's but one was called back. I don't know what his class will think when/if they ever lose. They haven't lost a game since grade school. Wouldn't that be awesome if they never did lose one? I think our varsity team will be a force to be reckoned with when they are juniors and seniors. Not saying that the varsity team currently isn't. They haven't lost this year either. Love football season but sad to see summer almost over! Go Wapsie Valley Warriors!

Congratulations Kyle & Taylor

 Friday night after the game Kyle proposed to Taylor and she said yes!  We have a new engagement in the family and couldn't be happier for them both.  I even got to be in on the secret and play an important role for Kyle.  Since he was coaching he of course couldn't just leave the game, so he enlisted Mom to go to his car unnoticed right before the end and grab the ring case out of the glove box and the long stem rose out of a cooler in the trunk.  I was pretty sneaky apparently because Taylor didn't even notice that I left.  Of course I stayed away from her somewhat on purpose so I wouldn't open my mouth and let something slip to give it away.  Kyle looked over to me right after the game ended and I shook my head "yes" to let him know I didn't let him down.  He grabbed Tyler and Taylor's brother off the field and said "follow me".  Then he just dropped to a knee and proposed.  I didn't have time to recruit a friend to take some pictures
