Happy Monday


Here is Ashley at 20 weeks give or take a few days. Sharon thinks she is having twins and I have to admit she has definitely popped the last couple weeks. She has her ultrasound on Wednesday and I cannot wait. Yep I got invited to join in and see it. So excited. This has made my week seem so awesome. I am taking the afternoon off and maybe going to do some baby shopping once we know the sex. Everyone thinks that I want a girl, but I KNOW boys much better. Never had a girl myself so think I will do and be much better as the "cool young grandma" of a boy. He will think this grandma rocks when I am throwing the football and/or baseball to him! Or if it is a girl she will not be lacking "barbies". Remember that I played with them until I was 13 just never let anyone else know that I did! Have a great week all!

It just doesn't matter -does it! Baby will be spoiled by all....... good job on pics - I don't think I'm a maternity photog.

Iowa Blizzard 2009

Here are a few pictures I took at my work the morning after our lovely Iowa blizzard last week. The snow was 27 inches in front of our office door and the snow was unbelievable all around the building. It was so tall it almost completely covered up the gas pumps. Maybe that will be the last big snow storm of the year. Think we could get that lucky?????? We can hope but I think we are doomed since this is Iowa and that was our first of the year! Ty Football 2010

So finally remembered to take the camera to Ty's game Friday night and snap some pictures. We won 45-0 and Ty had 3 TD's but one was called back. I don't know what his class will think when/if they ever lose. They haven't lost a game since grade school. Wouldn't that be awesome if they never did lose one? I think our varsity team will be a force to be reckoned with when they are juniors and seniors. Not saying that the varsity team currently isn't. They haven't lost this year either. Love football season but sad to see summer almost over! Go Wapsie Valley Warriors!

Congratulations Kyle & Taylor

 Friday night after the game Kyle proposed to Taylor and she said yes!  We have a new engagement in the family and couldn't be happier for them both.  I even got to be in on the secret and play an important role for Kyle.  Since he was coaching he of course couldn't just leave the game, so he enlisted Mom to go to his car unnoticed right before the end and grab the ring case out of the glove box and the long stem rose out of a cooler in the trunk.  I was pretty sneaky apparently because Taylor didn't even notice that I left.  Of course I stayed away from her somewhat on purpose so I wouldn't open my mouth and let something slip to give it away.  Kyle looked over to me right after the game ended and I shook my head "yes" to let him know I didn't let him down.  He grabbed Tyler and Taylor's brother off the field and said "follow me".  Then he just dropped to a knee and proposed.  I didn't have time to recruit a friend to take some pictures
