Went a bit crazy with my camera Saturday with all of the hummingbirds hanging around. I didn't realize that they actually sit up on power lines and in trees like regular birds. Not sure what I thought they did when they weren't flying around? Anyways here are some pictures I snapped of them in the rose bush and on the power lines over our driveway.

Finished up most of the kids senior pictures yesterday. They still have to have a few more done with football & basketball uniforms later. Not the nicest day and got rained on part of the time but Sharon once again got some awesome shots of them. This is one I took with my camera at the very end when we were done.

Ty had his first 8th grade football yesterday against NT at Traer. Wapsie won 40-8 and Tyler had 3 touchdowns. On the very first play of the game he ran the ball 70 some yards for a TD. He played awesome and so hard that his brand new football pants split right up the back! Oh I should add that he is #5 this year.

Took these pictures out my screen yesterday afternoon. I thought it was too late for hummingbirds but I guess everything is "off" this year. Haven't seen a lot of them this summer so thought that they didn't like my syrup or something. They are so beautiful. Could watch them forever!

Finally got around to canning some V8 last night. It is amazing how few quarts I end up with at the end of 5 hours work. Oh well. It is worth it. My brother Bart will probably be the only one that will appreciate these pictures as I know his tomatoes got wiped out this year! :-(

This is related to the pork & rice pictures below. And noone ate any blood be assured. I put a bandaid on it immediately. This is why Bruce shudders everytime I use a knife!!!
